Daniel Cartwright — What an amazing time to be alive! I thought we could begin this morning to take a look together at the recent cycles of change that we see occurring, cycles of purification. We’ve had personal change, it is hard to miss the political change, and what I’d like to spend some time looking at this morning with you is the change created by our climate. I’m thinking of events occurring right now in British Columbia, all over Canada, and the United States; Hurricane Hilary which landed in Baja California yesterday and is working its way up to southern California; and in the Hawaiian Islands.
My family and I have strong connections with Hawaii. I’ve got a 50-year business career in the Health Care community. In Hawaii relationships move very quickly from business to friendships, and in my case to spiritual awakening. Hawaii is a magical place. We’re all aware of what occurred on Maui, in Lahaina, and how events conspired to create a disaster there. Human error combined with off shore storms in the Pacific and the natural topography of Maui all led to an unprecedented wildfire that destroyed the historic town of Lahaina. The media is doing a good job of keeping track of the cycle of destruction and I thought I’d consider with you the cycle of integration that I see happening with the Hawaiian people, particularly on Maui. Interviews on television show how these people were impacted by physical loss. We feel that loss with them. Over 2000 businesses and homes destroyed. Over 1000 people still missing and 115 or more people have died. And you can see in the faces of those being interviewed and feel in the spirits of all those there that this loss was devastating, but material loss not the most important thing to them. They feel the loss of people dear to them, loss the cultural surround that is their history. In their conversations you hear the word come up: “Ohana.” It’s a beautiful part of the spirit of Hawaii. The simple definition of Ohana is “family”—blood family, the ones closest to you, then expanded to include dear friends, extended family, associates, and beyond that Ohana means “our tribe, our island, Hawaii and the nation.” Maui is a place of great beauty in geography and beauty in spirit.
I called a friend of mine in Honolulu the other day. He’s a wise man. I asked him if he thought anything in this disaster that could be positive. Did he see anything uplifting? And he said, “Yes, I see people all over Hawaii coming together, working to help their brothers and sisters, without any thought of personal gain; just simply because that’s what we do, that’s why we’re here.” Ohana has another meaning. It means that no one shall be left behind, no one shall be forgotten. And as we watch the unfolding in Hawaii, this spirit of Ohana is the part of the cycle that where we find real upliftment in the midst of this tragedy that occurred there.
As we see these things unfold the world around, it’s going to be our job as angels of compassion to feel these things, sense the pain of those around us, but not to be captured by that pain. We have a wonderful opportunity in this family of ours, this Emissary family, to stay centered and remain in the cool blue center of the flame. That’s where we do our best work. That’s where we receive the Word of God that allows us to move with steady hand and clear eye into the world and bring the ascending cycle into those things that are passing away.
Suzanne and I would like to share a poem with you. This poem was written by John Sims, and is from a service by Martin Cecil titled, “The Creator Incarnate.” It is titled “We Are Friends”:
Daniel:

Unfettered, unchained, spacious,
Free as the eagle where he reigns.

Suzanne:

Daniel:

We Are Friends
And the Master spoke these words to His disciples [John 15:15-17]: “Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends, for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you. Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. These things I command you, that ye love one another.”
In November 2022 Sanford Baron and John Gray presented a service they called “Heavenly Podcasts.” During this service the group considered the way we work in our work-a-day worlds, meeting people of all kinds and of all consciousnesses, which present opportunities for us to bring radiance into our worlds. How we work as spiritually conscious individuals in our unconscious worlds We all have varied circumstances in which we work with others—family, business, civic, and normal day-to-day interactions with neighbors, vendors, friends. I have a strong connection to the local health care community. For years I worked in this field providing the equipment and tools they use in their practice of medicine. Now as my body ages this same community works to help me stay healthy. All these different people, all these different goals, all important to the restoration of heaven on earth. During this service Sanford posed a question and offered an invitation. His question was “What happens when spiritually conscious people find themselves together in smaller groupings, in pods of collaboration?” He arranged that Zoom randomly select small break-out groups of four or five people—Zoom pods. And when each Zoom pod met, plans were made for gathering together for their next get together. And the pod experience was under way.
I was not on line for that service. My daughter and I were in Bend, Orego. Our plan was to leave early in the morning and drive over the pass between Bend and Portland. We would listen to the service together in the car. As we set out the weather was clear. When we reached the foothills it was lightly snowing. As we moved over the pass the snow intensified and we we came to a line of cars at dead stop. The sheriff told us there had been an accident and we’d probably be an hour in the line. We had no cell service so we couldn’t enjoy the service together but we enjoyed each other. Very slowly we worked our way over the summit we arrived at a place where there was cell service. Immediately I got a phone call from an old friend who was quite excited about Sanford’s invitation. He talked to me about the service and said he had introduced me to his pod and they had invited me to join. I thought I’d missed out but I was part of the experiment too! He said, “Get ready; we’re going to meet next week via zoom and get to know one another.”
Our early experiences together as a grouping were joyous ones. There was no agenda. We considered events in our world, we shared services that were our favorites—swapped them, actually—and we came to know each other. And it didn’t take long for us to discover that we may have been randomly selected by Zoom but this wasn’t a random selection of people. The feeling of long-time friendship grew amongst us and we became aware that our conversations were having were windows into our worlds and opportunities for radiant expression into our worlds. As we had that group experience our worlds changed and we changed. We met as angels; we were working together in ways we didn’t fully understand but we rejoiced in them. Pod 8 had became a new and different kind of radiant gathering for us. Temple of Light is a radiant gathering. Tone of Life is a radiant gathering. IAAP is a radiant gathering. But they’re large and formal. Pod8 was a radiant gathering that was small and flexible. We experimented with different topics and considered different approaches together and grew in our closeness and understanding with one another, and were excited in our growing friendship. In a Korean service the other day, Yujin Pak mentioned something about people who had a timelessness in their work together, their experience together—this is Pod 8. We felt as though, and recognized that we were, eternal companions. We saw our grouping as an opportunity to share in our love for God and reflect that love for God in our worlds and to one another.
When Pod8 was three or four months old we learned that Chris Jorgensen was planning to begin an attunement refresher course. During our discussions of the refresher course we discovered that we all shared a longing to increase our experience of attunement. We joined together and enrolled in Chris’s course. This was a powerful experience for us. We all had different levels of experience with attunement but we all had the same longing to know more and learn more together. We worked with standard attunement technique and long-distance attunement technique. Most of us had no partner to work with so worked with self-attunement. It was a healing experience for us and for our worlds.
During our time together Pod8 had some unique, personal experiences with healing within our group. During the short time we had been meeting, a couple of us had simple cataract surgery. There were also two serious events, both of them life threatening. Both of them requiring emergent care, hospitalization and long-term rehabilitation. The experience we gained as a group generating substance together and reaching out together and holding our friends, our companions in their experience was outstanding. It was beautiful. It was just a wonderful exercise in our friendship. We worked collectively, with more experienced attunement practitioners, but we were right there. We had Ohana too. Pod8 is a fluid experience, continually changing and adjusting, it’s exciting. We feel for each other a reciprocal offering of radiant friendship and as we experience this together we honor the Master’s command that we “love one another” in the light of our love for God.
I’d like to read something from Uranda’s 1953 service titled, “Communion Of Friendship”
“In our most recent periods of meditation we have recognized certain of the basic factors concerning friendship; something of what friendship signifies; something of the opportunity we have that we may be friends to God even as God is a friend to us. Once the qualities of friendship, the capacities of friendship, begin to develop in the individual, the relationship so established between God and us makes possible the divinely ordained position for which man was first created. God created man in the image and likeness, the same design, the same principles, the same laws, the same capacities and qualities as are found in God Himself, to the end that man might be the means by which God could reveal Himself in action on earth in relationship to the rest of creation.
“Man was supposed to be the connecting link between Creator and creation. Man violated the basic principles of friendship; he lost the position of being a friend to God and became the missing link, allowing the appearance of separation between heaven and earth. In that divine position as the connecting link between Creator and creation man was, before the violation of friendship, a friend to God. God has never ceased being man’s friend; and with patience and love and infinite care He has sought through the generations since that day to reestablish a pattern on earth by which man might receive the friendship of God and become a friend to God.
“In the pattern of true friendship there is always, without any exception, to whatever degree it may be experienced between human beings on earth, a particular quality of communion. Those who move toward the state of true friendship—which has been in fact a very rare occurrence—began to experience a state of communion, of vibrational companionship—which might at times use words for the interchange of ideas—was not limited to words, for in friendship there is understanding, and there is a communion of spirit which is unknown to those who have never touched the true Spirit of friendship; a quality of comprehension of the inner play of the vibratory field of the One who is counted friend. And this quality of communion is one of the crowning marks of friendship.
“Once we begin to see that the true state of friendship is the true state of heaven on earth the idea of the Kingdom of Heaven being at hand does not seem so vague, so uncertain; once we begin to glimpse the reality of what friendship means, or what it means to be a friend to God, there is a new vision of heavenly things made manifest, for we have noted that friends make no demands upon each other…
“Would it not exert a profound influence on heaven if heaven were no longer shut up and denied the opportunity of manifestation on earth? Would it not exert a profound influence on heaven if we proved to be the friends of God and let heaven, the atmosphere of friendship—What is heaven? Heaven is the atmosphere of true friendship—if we let heaven appear on earth. The way is easy. It is the only easy life available to man on earth. In our Pod8 experience, we’ve rejoiced in our friendship, our new friendship and our old friendship as we discover our friendship with God. Suzanne, my friend, now I pass things over to you.

Suzanne Core — Daniel, my friend, you’re a hard act to follow. Pod8 has given the members of it unique experiences of friendship—friendship with God and friendship with each other—and recognition of what Yujin called “angelic companions.” One of those experiences—of standing at the center between our friendship with God and our companionship with Man—is what our radiant gatherings are all about. That is what our radiant friendship is about. As Daniel said, we have lots of radiant gatherings. Most of them are bigger, like this one. Some of them are smaller, like Pod8. Some of them may be one-on-one. Some may be invisible, like the long-distance attunement, which meets together at a regular time every day but not in person—vibrationally, each one where they are.
In 1992, Roger de Winton said this about radiant gatherings: “People are longing for more meaning and effectiveness. Radiant Gatherings fit naturally into this as a fresh mechanism for our spiritual work together.” A few weeks ago Pamela noted that radiant gatherings are spiritual communion. Martin talked about this too, many times. He called it “configurations of angels.” He said: “There are some very specific needs in spiritual expression, which can be handled by various groups of people. There properly are many groups of people to handle specific areas of spiritual expression, to achieve specific things in the heaven.” [The Fine Substance of Life, July 10, 1979]
And, “It requires a very specific configuration of angels for the creative process to work. There are associations emerging, associations between angels. There are configurations of angels for specific creative purposes. We do not gather by chance but because there is an understanding of purpose. Pod8 is like a gathering of old friends. It has been joyous. It has been light and fun and very deep and very intense. We came together not by accident but by design. Working in the creative process of that particular design has not just been personal joy; it has had an impact, an influence, in our worlds. And that is true of this gathering in this hour and in this hour it is magnified—it is much more than the sum of its parts. It is radiant friendship, letting love radiate into the world that each of us touches, and that covers the planet, covers our precious earth home. It enters the heart of all who have that longing for more meaning and more effectiveness.
And the truth of it is that it is based in our friendship with our KING. It no longer amazing to me but it is still thrilling to me that you are my friends—because you love our KING and I love our KING, and we are friends. And in the friendship with our KING and the companionship with our fellows, living in attunement, at the crossover point, together, we truly are the salvation of the world. Daniel, over to you.

And we enjoy together our shared responsibility to allow the manifestation of God on earth, of heaven on earth, to once again be through humankind. Steve Ventola — I'd like to receive that invitation Daniel. I loved sharing your cadence of ease, of the nature of friendship that comes from ease—to actually let go of what we think, and just to be together. The words that come to mind: “where two or three are gathered in My Name, there I am in the midst of them.” We're in the midst of the Lord's influence, and feeling the intensity of communing together, open to the ease, to the cadence, and to the radiation of that. Thank you both.
Marsha Bogolin — I also feel the action that you both took, a warm inviting invitation for us to explore the meaningfulness and effectiveness of friendships together, in whatever configurations are needed for specific purposes. You certainly did give plenty of evidence of how that has emerged in this Pod 8. I want to amplify one thing that I'm so grateful for and that is the way that you enfolded those on Maui, and the example that you gave of what really is needed from us as angels: it isn't just aloof. We do feel it, and yet as you demonstrated, we look for what's rising up in it and how we can amplify that; because there's going to be a lot more of that on the planet. So thank you so much for what you have brought today.
Robert Merriman — Daniel, Suzanne, this has just been wonderful. The requirement of willingness was coming to mind and heart, willingness to allow these heaven-spun configurations to come together at My Hand, willing to let personal preferences and what I thought I knew to take a backseat to Heaven's Will; and in so doing the fabric of heaven is woven in the unique way that we each are put here to allow it to be woven. As we do that, there's a parabola phenomenon, an antenna phenomenon that occurs where each unique configuration can hear what Heaven designed it to hear, so that the Word may be spoken uniquely through that unique configuration. This is wonderful territory. I feel you've opened something for us that we'll utilize a great deal. Thank you so much.
David Barnes — Suzanne and Daniel, I've experienced the greatness of your love washing over me; being bathed in the current, allowing that to completely flood and change me—an outpouring of easy and natural love and friendship. You poured it forth upon us, and upon and through a large portion of humanity. I appreciate your emphasis on the emergence of a number of different configurations of angels, drawn together by spirit to allow specific ranges of creative accomplishment. A few years ago there was little confusion around these things as there began to be this diversification: “I thought we were supposed to be coming together as one stream. Now we have many. How can this actually all work out into oneness?” Now we see how natural it is that there would be many configurations of angels, each focused in the truth of love, allowing the angels involved to play their natural parts in the recreative process. I find myself thinking of Sunrise Ranch and EDL—that's a holy name, a sacred name—and there are things emerging through various ones at Sunrise that are of significance. There's something rising up through the earth, through us, watering the heavens, and allowing what's natural in these different arrangements to be held in our love and understanding of the truth of what's taking place. Because of the current of love that has been present in our experience today, I feel that my facilities have been greatly changed, as love will do when one lets go to it. Your love is clear and strong. Thanks so much.
Daniel — Thank you all. It’s wonderful to see the Lord express Himself. Pod8 is alive and well. Suzanne and I didn’t want to talk about future events very much but I’ll tell you something that is coming to point in Pod8. A few of us have known each other for 40-50 years, worked together pre-and-post consciousness, and the interesting in-between time, and we thought it would be wonderful if we could all meet face-to-face, so later this year, Pod8 is going to assemble and we’re excited about it. Friendship is really man’s responsibility to God and a remembrance of God’s never-ending love for man. By practicing our friendships amongst ourselves we strengthen our friendship muscles but we also honor the Master’s command to love one another. It’s a practical and radiant matter to rejoice in the LORD’s love for us and to accept his never-ending gift of friendship.
Suzanne — Thank you, Daniel. Thank you each one and all of you. There have been some wonderful surprises this morning! Time is elastic. Sometimes a minute seems like an hour. Sometimes an hour seems like an instant. And sometimes 40 or 50 years disappears in a flash. And here we are together in the present moment. To close out our remarkable hour together, I’d like to read you the words of a song that was written some years ago by an old friend of many of us, Carolyn Rhodes: “We have come to offer Thy blessing, Thy holy dwelling place on earth. Honor and glory we bring to the nations; Thy spirit surely now has its birth. We have come to bring Thy dominion, Thy healing word an open door. We share again our holy communion; We morning stars together sing forevermore.“

In 1985, Martin Exeter spoke the following words — piercing and transformative and timely now, as we near the climax of this annual cycle, with the Water of Truth flowing freely, the Atmosphere of Heaven sparkling and growing clear, with feet firmly planted on Holy Ground, and the Fire of Love burning hot and clean with the promise of a New Day rising:
“There was a man who lived in the world a long time ago. On one occasion he was questioned by his Master: ‘Do you love me?’ He was quick to reply that he did. The instruction was then forthcoming: ‘Feed my lambs.’ Shortly thereafter the question was repeated twice. The instruction from the Master was: ‘Feed my sheep. Feed my sheep.’ This is very pertinent to our own experience, because in this particular story this man, because of fear, denied his Master three times. Probably his impatience at being asked the same question three times later was based in his own shame for what had occurred previously. If we are honest we would all admit that there have been occasions, by reason of fear and other human emotions, when we have denied the truth in our own living. Because we have done this, there is a continuing sense of shame. This particular man was being offered the opportunity later to forgive himself, an opportunity which is available to all of us, if we will accept it—discovering how much we really need to forgive ourselves. We can’t forgive ourselves without admitting our shame. The way forgiveness is received was indicated by the instruction that was given on that far-distant occasion: ‘Feed my lambs: feed my sheep; feed my sheep.’ The lambs and the sheep represent those who would be willing to be fed spiritual nourishment—the Word spoken on earth. My sheep hear my Word. The sheep are the ones who then give form to the Body of the Shepherd; and the Shepherd speaks by reason of His Body. The Shepherd needs a Body of Incarnation available for use, so that the Voice may resound on earth. That is the only thing that is important. When the Shepherd has a Body on earth to speak the Word, to sound the Voice, then His sheep hear His voice. The only reason for hearing that Voice is that one might be unified into the Body of the Shepherd, that the Shepherd might be on earth and that His Voice might come through loud and clear. Even if out of the five billion people there are five hundred that hear the Voice, that is all that is necessary. That may be a sad commentary on the rest of the population, but everything is based on hearing that Voice. People either do or they don’t. There are indeed a very precious few who hear the Voice of the Master. The only thing that is required is to feed the lambs and the sheep—just in providing the nourishment of the Voice, the Word, the Tone. That’s all. “My sheep hear my Voice.” There are those throughout the world who have that capability. It is our responsibility to make sure that the Voice penetrates everywhere—the Gospel is preached in the whole world, just so that the Voice may be heard. It is a joy to sound that Tone, to speak the Word in oneness of spirit.”
The thrilling sound of the Voice of the Master fills the heart with thanksgiving and prepares the Way for this opportunity to sing our Song of Love in Oneness of Spirit with Daniel and Suzanne. “Behold, the Sacred Sun-lit Word made flesh and burning free: Creation’s Song, O Lord, complete, Glory unto Thee.” David Barnes and Anne Blaney
